The Restoration of Natural Systems (RNS) program is a uniquely designed diploma that equips passionate environmental advocates with the critical knowledge and practical skills necessary for addressing complex ecological restoration issues. This dynamic, interdisciplinary credit program stands at the intersection of theoretical understanding and hands-on practice, offering a comprehensive exploration of current restoration practices taught by experienced and knowledgeable instructors. Through a holistic approach, the program aims to strengthen your connection with the natural world and empower you to make substantive differences in ecological conservation and restoration efforts.

Ideal for individuals who have completed at least two years of an undergraduate degree or possess equivalent experience, the RNS program offers a pathway to achieving a recognized credential in the burgeoning field of ecological restoration. With a curriculum supported by a unique partnership between the School of Environmental Studies and the Division of Continuing Studies, the program provides expertly designed courses that cater to the needs of adult learners. Participants have the flexibility to pursue their education part-time or full-time with both online and on-campus options, ensuring that they can advance at their own pace. Upon successful completion, participants are eligible to receive a Certificate of Completion co-signed by UNITAR and CIFAL Victoria, highlighting their commitment and capability towards contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals through ecological restoration.
